 Taylor is a coastal county in north Florida in an area known as the Big Bend. The County is part of the "Nature Coast" which is known for its abundant natural resources and environmental treasures. US highways 19, 27, 98, and 221 run through Taylor County, and the major east/west corridor of Interstate 10 is just to the north. Taylor County's large tracts of rural land, along with its proximity to the coastline and natural resources provide many opportunities for growth and new development. The population of Taylor County has been growing steadily since 2000, with a current estimate of over 20,000.
