Dixie County, Florida

Dixie County is located on the Gulf of Mexico in North Florida, and is considered by many to be a natural paradise. Water is an important part of Dixie County's economy.  From the Suwannee River to the Gulf Coast, with natural springs and parks sprinkled liberally in between, residents and visitors can find year round water categories for just about any sport or recreational activity.  

The population of Dixie County has been growing steadily and is currently estimated to be nearly 16,000. The county has a total area of 864 square miles (160 of those are water.) US 19 is the major highway that bisects the county.
