Unlike many urban areas in the state that put up barriers to development, the rural communities of the North Florida Economic Development Partnership region are anxious to work with relocating and expanding businesses. Each county in the Partnership is a designated member of the North Central Rural Area of Critical Economic Concern, and as such, qualify for additional state incentive programs for economic development. Interstate transportation is readily accessible throughout most areas of the region, as is rail service.
